1)GB20800.1-2006 "General Explosion-proof Technical Rules for Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines for Explosive Atmospheres Part 1: Class II Internal Combustion Engines for Combustible Gas and Vapor Environments"

4、Explosion-proof renovation project requirements
1)Install an intake flame arrester device on the intake to prevent the explosive gas in the engine cylinder from becoming an ignition source.
2)Install an exhaust flame arrester device and a spark extinguisher on the exhaust to prevent the explosive gas in the engine cylinder from becoming an ignition source.
3)Modify the cylinder head and increase the size of the relevant explosion-proof surface to meet the safety standard explosion-proof size requirements. Add cooling water channels to reduce the surface temperature of the cylinder head to meet the safety standard requirements.
4)Replace the exhaust manifold and use a double-layer exhaust manifold with a water jacket. Use the coolant in the engine water tank to reduce the surface temperature of the exhaust manifold to meet the safety standard requirements.
5)Equipped with a double-layer exhaust manifold with a water jacket, use circulating water to cool the exhaust manifold so that the surface temperature of the exhaust manifold meets the safety standard requirements.
6) The engine control system, power supply, and electrical appliances all use products with safety certificates to ensure that the produced engines are compliant.
5、Explosion-proof control box functional requirements
1)Explosion-proof control box: control module, safety grille, relay and other components are connected inside the control box;
2)Display screen: used to display various parameters of the diesel engine during normal operation, such as surface temperature, water temperature, exhaust temperature, oil pressure, speed, etc. When a certain detection value exceeds the range allowed by the standard, the controller will automatically output a shutdown signal and cut off the diesel engine power. At the same time, it also has various fault alarm functions, such as speed, water temperature, oil pressure, emergency stop, start failure, fault alarm, low oil level, low water level, etc.
3)Power indicator light: The main power indicator light is installed in the explosion-proof control box;
4)Shutdown indicator light: The shutdown indicator light is installed in the explosion-proof control box;
5)Mechanical water temperature gauge: When the electronic temperature sensor fails, the water temperature of the diesel engine can be detected through this gauge to see if it is normal;
6)Mechanical oil pressure gauge: When the electronic pressure sensor fails, the oil pressure of the diesel engine can be detected through this gauge to see if it is normal;
7)Air pressure gauge: Used to detect the air pressure in the automatic control shutdown gas tank. The automatic shutdown will be effective only when the air pressure reaches 0.3MPa or above;
8)Emergency shutdown pull line: When the pressure in the gas tank Use it when the air pressure is insufficient or the situation is very urgent. Direct manual control, pull it outward to stop the diesel engine;
9)Flame-out button: When the automatic flame-out control of the controller fails, the manual flame-out button can be used. It is effective when the air pressure is above 0.3MPa. Press the flame-out button for about 3 seconds and the diesel engine will automatically stop;
10)Air source switch: used to put the entire system air circuit into use/cut off;
11) Manual throttle controller: used to control the speed of the diesel engine. After manually pressing the button, it can be pulled outward. After releasing the button, it will automatically lock. Rotating the upper cover can fine-tune the throttle cable position to accurately control the speed of the diesel engine.
6.Other functions
1)The exhaust gas treatment method is a dry heat exchanger: the double-layer exhaust manifold and exhaust main pipe are connected to the heat exchanger, and the heat exchanger and the radiator share cooling water. The heat exchanger is placed 200MM-500mm behind the radiator, and the residual wind of the radiator cooling fan is used to help the heat exchanger dissipate heat to ensure that the exhaust temperature is within the range. The heat exchanger and radiator are both made of copper.
2)Equipped with explosion-proof diesel locomotive protection monitoring device, functions: 1 high water temperature, 1 low oil pressure, 1 high exhaust temperature, 1 high surface temperature, 1 overspeed, 1 gas over-standard alarm signal, on-site monitoring and protection shutdown.
3)It has two shutdown modes: fuel cut-off and air cut-off.
4) The engine control system has the function of outputting switch quantity signals such as engine start/stop status, oil pressure alarm, cooling water temperature alarm, exhaust temperature alarm, casing surface temperature alarm, speed alarm, etc. to the fire and gas control system.
7.Engine emergency shutdown operation and requirements for receiving external shutdown control signals
1)Engine emergency shutdown When the control system detects the following conditions, the controller will power the shutdown solenoid valve, shut down the engine oil and air intake, and stop the engine from running:
a)When the exhaust temperature reaches 166-168℃;
b)When the surface temperature reaches 166-168℃;
c)When the coolant temperature reaches 95-98℃;
d)When the oil pressure is ≤70kPa;
e)When the speed exceeds 10% of the rated value.
2)Accepting external shutdown control signals When the controller receives a remote shutdown signal or a local shutdown button signal, it executes 1) to shut down.
3) Manual shutdown Pull out the shutdown wire, shut down the engine oil intake, and shut down the engine.
8.Control requirements for automatic opening and closing of shutters
when the engine starts When the engine starts successfully, a switch signal is output to control the automatic opening of the shutters; when the engine is turned off and power is lost, the shutters are automatically closed.
